Dr. Green’s Masters thesis was a commentary on a collection of letters written by the early nineteenth century publisher John Murray II and addressed  to John Wilson Croker, the Tory critic who wrote for him in the Quarterly Review.  This collection, which sheds important light on the English Romantic movement, has been acquired by the University of Iowa, along with several copies of Dr. Green’s thesis.  All of Dr. Green’s transcriptions of the letters and annotations to the folios in which they are laid have been retained by the University.  See http://www.lib.uiowa.edu/spec-coll/bookcolls/leighhunt/murray-croker.htm

A Writer’s Manual and Workbook, a college text which Dr. Green coauthored, can be procured online through amazon.com at http://www.techwritingjobs.com/shop/asinsearch_B000E13MRI/                  Writers+Manual+and+Workbook.html. His essay on Coleridge, entitled “The Resistless Eye” and originally published in College English, has been reproduced in its entirety at http://links.jstor.org/sici?sici=0010-0994(194205)3%3A8%3C722%3AEIM%3E2.0.CO%3B2-0.  Another essay which first appeared in College English, a study of the genesis of Poe’s “The Raven,” can be found in the Poetry Criticism section of eNotes at http://www.enotes.com/poetry-criticism/raven-edgar-allan-poe/andrew-j-green-essay-date-december-1942?print=1.  Dr. Green’s article “The Reform of Freshman English,” which was also first printed in the same magazine, is available at http://links.jstor.org/sici?sici=00100994(194103)2%3A6%3C593%3ATROFFE%3E2.0.CO%3B2-8.
